Substrates

"Storm Bruin" by artist Kimberly Bowen

We print on a variety of substrates including canvas, photo paper and a wide variety of fine art papers. We can mount your prints on 1/4″ or 1/2″ black or white Gator Board or MountCor foam backing boards using only archival-quality acid-free mounting materials.

Fine Art Papers
We offer a range of archival, acid-free fine art papers, including 100% cotton options from Hahnemühle and other top manufacturers, each with varying textures to highlight the fine details in your art or photography. For a more budget-friendly choice, our smooth, neutral-white Archival Matte paper provides high-quality reproduction with an instant-dry coating that resists fingerprints and smudging.

Photo Prints
Prints on Luster photo paper look similar to the small ones that you receive from your standard photo lab. The prints show rich, saturated colors, deep blacks, and great detail.

Additional Services

Hand deckled finishing
A hand deckled finish is a decorative, feathery paper edge created by tearing rather than cutting, resulting in a rustic, artisanal look. The process can be done by hand using tools like a ruler to score and tear, or by wetting the paper to weaken fibers and then carefully tearing it. This finish is popular for high-end invitations, fine art, and other creative projects to give them a classic, handmade quality.

Framing
At Artisan Press Works, we offer a thoughtful framing process that ensures your artwork or print receives the highest level of care and quality. Using only the best materials from the same trusted suppliers as the major framers in town, we provide a range of options from basic frames to complex, museum-ready frames.

Fullfilment
Let us arrange shipment of your prints to your customers.

Canvas Prints
Canvas prints look more like paintings, but preserve the rich colors, tonal depth and fine detail of a traditional photograph. Our craftsmen custom build stretcher frames from kiln-dried, custom-milled, basswood and stretch the canvas to create a gallery-wrap.
